this is the body before smooth, I add a green parts to show the sleeves.

After many times adjusting, I almost finished the body.

Now trying to make eyes, noise and mouth.

put hat onto the head.
done^_^

haha, one is the real and others is a modal.
they are bother~~~~

reflection

oh~~~~finally, the project done, so happy~~~~. firstly, when I see this project, I found it is not difficult and just make a modal. However, when I start and try to make a modal, lots of problems comes. Thus, I need to know how to make a people's face and how to make the modal like a real 3D modal. Thus, I read the online note and to learn how to do it. Beside this, I found make a 3D modal must have patience. Sometimes, when I make a wrong line or wrong dot, the modal shape suddenly changed. Maybe you need try many times to make a small place. However, I still love to learn 3D and I hope next time my modal can move and make more effects like movie shows. Thanks.

Project1 ---part2

part2  is about the body of toy.

I use the cube to make the body and draw the outline to change the shape
(edge and vertex)
then, extrude the hand parts.

this part is quite difficult as I need make the out part of the sleeves
I put few of out lines  make a one straight line.
then, I pull the line out of the body and adjust the point which makes more like a real sleeves.

lastly, I make a scarf for the body.

Reflection
this part is quite difficult and spend much more times. I choose a cube for a body, but the body may not a cube, thus I change the shape. Secondly, trying to make a sleeves. This part must be very careful as there are lots of points, If miss or lost some dots or lines, the body will be changed. After I adjust many times, the body come out.

Project1 ---part1

This is first part of my project
hat and head

I use cone to make the hat

This one also the hat, the modal hat with the green line.
It feels like an art object, very beautigul.

Dose the head like a pan, I think so...-_-
I use cylinder to create and use extrude to make the ears.

I put them together, then the first part finished.^_^

Reflection
In fact, this part is not difficult for me as all the thing I do before during the class and during the exercises. Oh, here I use a new method call smooth which can make the shape more smooth. thus, the face like a face.

sketch the modal

shape and design

Now I choose mock toy to my model

my modal is made up by three parts which are big hat, head and the body.
so, when I start to do my work, I will choose cone for hat, two cubes for head and body.

Story about my toy —— Xuanzang's Journey to the West

Xuanzang's Journey to the West

In the classic novel Journey to the West, a monk, the Tang Priest, goes on a pilgrimage to India to fetch the Buddhist scriptures back to China. Together with his disciples Monkey King, Pigsy and Friar Sand, he overcomes 81 hardships and his mission is successful. The novel is a collection of legends, but in history there really was such a monk. His Buddhist name was Xuanzang.
Xuanzang (602-664 AD) renounced the world, and became a monk. He acquired a good command of the Buddhist classics, and he found that there were a great many errors in the translated Buddhist scriptures. Therefore, he decided to go to Tianzhu (today's Indian Peninsula), the birthplace of Buddhism, to study and bring back the authentic scriptures.
Xuanzang started his journey to the west in the first year (627 AD) of the Zhenguan reign period of the Tang Dynasty. He crossed mountains and deserts, overcoming numerous hardships, and finally reached Tianzhu after a journey of whole year.
During his journey to the west, Xuanzang traveled through over 70 countries, and studied in Tianzhu for 15 years.
At the age of 42, Xuanzang returned to Chang'an, bringing back more than 650 Buddhist scriptures. He then commenced the work of translating the Buddhist scriptures. He translated 74 Buddhist scriptures altogether, amounting to about 1,300 volumes.
Xuanzang was not only an eminent monk, but also a great translator and an envoy for friendship between China and India. He made great contributions to the development of Chinese culture, and for cultural exchanges between China and India and other countries.
